The UEFA Cup 2007/08 now enters the Group stage. Dinamo Zagreb was so far one of the biggest surprises within the competition by beating Ajax Amsterdam (0:1; 3:2 in overtime) in the Knock-Out stage.
In group D Dinamo hosts FC Basel the former Champions League participant from Switzerland and the German traditional club Hamburger SV. Brann of Norway and Rennes from France are the opponents for the two away matches.
